Em sintonia com o centenário da imigração japonesa no Brasil, o São Paulo Fashion Week aponta sua lente cultural para a terra do Sol nascente. O Japão é tema da 25º edição do evento, que elege a palavra Motainai como eixo. A tradução literal é "desperdício". Mas para a organização do evento, Motainai "simboliza a atitude de valorizar o que está ao redor, de preservar as pessoas, o material, o tempo e as relações". Referência clara à sustentabilidade, palavra recorrente nas últimas edições do evento de cenografia de papelão reciclável. O SPFW acontece de 17 a 23 de junho na Bienal do Parque do Ibirapuera. São 50 grifes e estilistas. Entre as mudanças do line up, destaque para a ausência da Raia de Goeye. As novidades será a estréia da Maria Garcia, e a ida da Reserva e da Colcci, que carregou consigo Gisele Bündchen. Três grifes retornaram: Pedro Lourenço, Blue Man e Rosa Chá.
